    As members of Congress heard from the heads of the Big Three auto executives on Capitol Hill in Washington, Senator Arlen Specter and Congressman Charlie Dent heard from local industry experts about a proposed $34-billion bailout. WFMZ's Joscelyn Moes reports.       | ||

    Thursday night's budget meeting started with a mayoral veto and ended with cuts to every city department. WFMZ's Melissa Batulis has the break down.

    A seat left open by a longtime Northampton County Councilman will stay in the family.  Patti Grube was unanimously appointed the newest council member. She takes over for her late husband, Wayne Grube. He passed away last month at the age of 74. Aside from his duties on the council, Grube had also served as a coach at Easton and Wilson High Schools.       | ||

    Before there was Boscov's or Bon-Ton there was Hess's. Founded in Allentown in 1897, Hess's was known for its out-of-this-world holiday displays. Sadly, the chain closed in 1996, but a new exhibit is bringing Hess's magic back to life. WFMZ's Bo Koltnow takes us for a tour.
